Crippen Cartoon IN71 | Alt Text one person giving a presentation to a crowd: Image 1 - There is a blue slideshow presentation on the left with a presenter sat in a wheelchair on the right. Below them are a crowd of people. Slideshow: Current National Curriculum and Assesment System is rooted in exclusionary practices. Presenter 1: So, what we’re saying here is that this system is just not fit for purpose! Crowd: Hear Hear! Image 2 – Image pans to the right to show presenter 2 holding papers labelled ‘OFSTED AND LEAGUE TABLES’ stood next to presenter 1. The slideshow gets cut off. Presenter 1: With Young Disabled people facing so many barriers within the unfair system. Presenter 2: Yes – Barriers to National exams like GCSE English and maths. Crowd: Totally unfair. Image 3 – Image pans back to the left focussing on Presenter 1, the slideshow and the crowd. Slideshow: Young Disabled people have much lower exam pass rate ... Presenter 1: It’s a one size fits all tick box system that stifles opportunities for Young Disabled people! Crowd: We want our disabled children to have a fair chance. Image 4 – Image now shows Presenter 1, presenter 2, the slideshow and the crowd. Slideshow: Young Disabled people leave school with limited pathways due to no recognisable achievement record. Presenter 1: And as for going on to further education or employment... Presenter 2: Forget about it! Crowd: Shameful!
